Dispense supports 3 different price types: Regular, Weight Tier (aka Deli Style), and Price Tier (aka Price Breaks).
Some POS's support different pricing types, some don't. If they do, Dispense will map them over. Check with your POS to see what's supported.
Price Types
Regular (default)
Most of your products will have 'regular' pricing, meaning the product has a fixed price per unit.
For example, the price per gram is the same:
Weight |
Price per Gram |
Total Price |
1g |
$10 |
$10 |
2g |
$10 |
$20 |
3.5g |
$10 |
$35 |
Price Tier
Tiered (or volume, or price breaks) pricing allows you to charge a lower price per product when customers buy larger quantities of pre-packaged product.
For example:
Quantity |
Price per Unit |
Total Price |
1 |
$10 |
$10 |
2 |
$9 |
$18 |
3 |
$8 |
$24 |
To set this up in Dispense, you should add multiple tiers and the Price should be the Total Price for that tier (not the price per gram).
Example Price Tier product in Dispense:

Weight Tier
Weight tiered (or deli style, or bulk) pricing allows you to charge a lower price per gram when customers buy larger amounts. Generally, instead of purchasing flower that is a pre-weighed and pre-packed, a dispensary agent weighs out the buds from bulk flower jars.
For example:
Weight |
Price per Gram |
Total Price |
1g |
$10 |
$10 |
2g |
$9 |
$18 |
3.5g |
$8 |
$28 |
To set this up in Dispense, you should add multiple tiers and the Price should be the Total Price for that tier (not the price per gram). The Quantity field will change from Units to Grams, since you will be pulling inventory from a bulk flower jar.
